Day 1 

Arrive Bologna and Step into a Foodie Paradise

Arrive in Bologna, you will be met your private driver to transport you to your centrally located hotel. Free time to relax and get acquainted with your new neighborhood! Consider taking a leisurely stroll through one of Bologna's many Porticos and find your way to Mercato La Piazzola di Bologna! We can't wait to share our favorite restaurants with you.

Day 2

Indulge in the Delightful Flavors of Bologna

Daily hotel breakfasts. Detailed private sightseeing of the city of Bologna, meet with your expert local guide to explore one of Italy's great foodie centers, from its medieval streets to the famous Food Quarter. Plus be sure to visit the massive Piazza Maggiore, featuring 800 years of Emilian Architecture, the famous statue of Neptune (whose trident inspired the Maserati logo!)  and the beautiful Basilica di San Petronio!  PM Free time

Day 3

Dive into Modena like a Local Foodie

Embark on a privately guided visit to Modena, one of Italy's most delicious destinations, well-known for its balsamic vinegar and fine cuisine!  Perhaps visit the splendid Duomo di Modena, Piazza Grande, the Torre della Ghirlandina. For those with a need for speed be sure to visit famous Ferrari Museum and the Lambo factory!

Day 4

Embark on a Journey into Parma’s Hidden Gems

Emilia Romagna’s main food production areas are concentrated in the hill country west of Bologna.  Parma is the epicenter of the “Food Valley” and a detailed privately guided visit will acquaint you with the local Parmiggiano, Prosciutto di Parma and Lambrusco!  As well as the history and scenery of the area! Day 5

Relish in History and Tradition of Ferrara/Ravenna

The tolerant regime of the Este Family created a vibrant Jewish culture in and around Ferrara.  Travel just about an hour from Bologna by private car for a guided visit to this small city including the National Jewish Museum of Italy with a somber recollection of the Shoah. Alternatively you might wish to visit Ravenna, including the Basilica di San Vitale, and mosaics of Galla Placidia and Sant'Apollinare. It's a beautiful city where Dante wrote The Divine Comedy.

Day 6

Immerse in Bologna’s Charms on Your Free Day

​

Free day to get to know Bologna even better!  The food markets are non-pareil. If shopping is your thing, lovely shops and boutiques abound including vintage handbag and accessory shops (think Louis Vuitton!)  Or perhaps you would like to take the half-hour train ride to the nearby Florence for a guided visit, Tuscan style lunch and guided visit to the Uffizi, Duomo or David Statue?  Ditto for Verona, which is just a short train ride away!

Day 7

Return Home

Transfer to the airport now for your home-bound flights.  Same-day arrival in the USA. Welcome home!

The ideal time for Bologna is Year Round, the climate is gentle in central Italy and Emilia Romagna is substantially less crowded than the main centers of Italy all year long - meaning that you have so many reasons to plan a visit!
