SCOTLAND

DAY 1:  USA - GLASGOW          [DEPART USA]

Dinner and a movie aloft as you wing your way to Scotland (overnight flight).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Explore the charming village of Spean Bridge this morning with a scenic drive to Fort William! Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Lochs as you head to the Jacobite train to Mallaig. On arrival, taking the ferry to Armadale (Skye). Then meet your driver for the transfer to your lovely boutique guest house.

 

DAY 6: SKYE          [EXPLORING SKYE]

Explore the world-famous Isle of Skye today. Consider visiting stunning sights, such as Quirang, Neist Point, or the waterfall at Kilt Rock!! Perhaps a light hike up the path on the Old Man of Storr!? What about the Fairy Pools or Dunvegan Castle? And of course, you might nip a wee dram at the Talisker Tasting Tour!

 

DAY 7: SKYE – CULLODEN          [ARRIVE CULLODEN]

Off you go to Inverness. Consult with your driver to pick out the best route for the scenic drive, perhaps stop by Loch Ness for a short excursion, and admire at spectacular views of the Caledonian Canal!? The small quaint village of Fort Augustus or Drumnadrochit is also a great stopping point for refreshment!! On arrival in Inverness, check in at your guest house.

 

DAY 8: CULLODEN          [EXPLORING HIGHLANDS]

A full day of exploring the beautiful Highlands!! Highlights might include Urquhart Castle, Caledonian Canal, Culloden Battlefield, Cava Cairns, Cawdor Castle and Fort George. Don’t forget to visit Tomatin distillery and learn more about its famous whiskey!! Whatever you do, soak up the unspoiled scenery of this outstanding natural area!!

 

DAY 9: CULLODEN - EDINBURGH          [ARRIVE EDINBURGH]

Drive south today to the hilly capital of Edinburgh!! Stop by the charming towns of Grantown-on-Spey or Tomintoul in Cairngorms National Park!? The Speyside Distillery is right en route! Why not visit the lovely picturesque town of Pitlochry, and if you skipped Speyside, then try some famous whiskey at Blair Athol distillery—one of the oldest working distilleries in Scotland!? Continue to Edinburgh, and check in at your centrally located hotel.

DAY 10: EDINBURGH          [TOUR OF EDINBURGH]

Enjoy an in-depth look at Edinburgh, seeing the historic fortress of Edinburgh Castle, the Queen’s Palace of Holyroodhouse, Scottish Parliament, and more. Free time afterward to see the Royal Yacht Britannia or St. Giles Cathedral! Why not take a stroll on cobbled streets and narrow alleyways in the Old Town or a visit to the Camera Obscura and World of Illusions!?

 

DAY 11: EDINBURGH          [FREE DAY]

Free day at leisure to roam the city!! Consider a leisure walk to Calton Hill—the Athens of the North for a majestic panorama of the city. Suggest visiting a museum or two such as the National Museum of Scotland, Real Mary King’s Close, or the Scottish National Gallery. Also of interest might be St. Giles Cathedral? During August, Edinburgh Castle hosts the Military Tattoo! Well worth it!!

 

DAY 12: EDINBURGH - USA          [RETURN HOME]

Transfer to the airport now for your home-bound flights. Same-day arrival in the USA. Welcome home! 

DAY 2: GLASGOW          [ARRIVE GLASGOW]

Welcome to Scotland! On arrival, meet your driver for the transfer to your centrally located hotel. Free time to rest and step out to explore your vibrant neighborhood. We will provide a list of our favorite restaurants for you to enjoy!

 

DAY 3: GLASGOW – BALQUHIDDER          [TOUR OF GLASGOW]

Meet your expert guide and driver for a guided visit to Glasgow. Highlights might include Glasgow Cathedral, Templeton’s factory, Buchanan Street, and more!! After the tour, continue your journey north, and perhaps stop by Stirling Castle for a quick exploration!? On arrival at the Trossachs National Park, check-in at your guest house.

 

DAY 4: BALQUHIDDER - SPEAN BRIDGE          [ARRIVE SPEAN BRIDGE]

Explore the beautiful park of the Trossachs, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of hills, lochs, glens, and villages!! After taking in the best of the Trossachs, time to head north to Spean Bridge. Upon arrival, check-in at your guest house.

 

DAY 5: SPEAN BRIDGE - JACOBITE TRAIN - SKYE          [ARRIVE SKYE]

Experience Urban Idylls, Jagged Mountain Ranges and Lots of Lochs!   

More time to travel?  You could stay longer in any of the cities to get a more in-depth feel for the Scotish living! You could flip the itinerary around and add England, or Ireland... The choice is yours and we will gladly consult with you and draw up the best itinerary based on your needs and wishes so that it is the best vacation of your life!
